WhatsApp web service is very effective for chatting on desktop or PC just like
mobile app. With WhatsApp Web, users can easily access their account on a
computer. For this reason, the company, which is owned by Facebook, tries
to give the same features as the app in the web version. However, even if
you can chat freely in the WhatsApp web version, so far, the voice or video
call feature could only be used on WhatsApp's Android and iOS mobiles. But
no more worries! This problem is expected to be resolved very soon.
In fact, WABetaInfo recently released a report that looks
like WhatsApp is working to bring the benefits of voice and video calls to its
Web version. According to reports, this feature has already been seen in
the latest update of the web client (version 2.2043.8). However, for now,
some users of the beta program of WhatsApp can use it.
WABetaInfo shared a few screenshots of this feature. As
you can see, when you use WhatsApp Web on the desktop, a pop-up window for
incoming calls will appear with a specific button to receive or reject the
call. It is also expected to have an 'ignore' option. On the other
hand, a small pop-up, mute, etc. setting options can be seen to start the video
while making a call.
Therefore, there is no doubt that the platform will become more sophisticated with the advent of voice or video call support in the web version of WhatsApp in the coming days! Because users do not have to switch desktop / laptop and phone repeatedly while working. Please be informed that neither WhatsApp nor the parent company Facebook has released any information about when this new feature will be available. However, it is expected that the official status of this feature will be revealed soon or it will be available to all users.
