Those interested can sign up for WhatsApp's beta program in two ways.

In this case, if you want to be a beta tester of WhatsApp from your Android smartphone, then first go to Google Play Store and from there click on WhatsApp application. Then scroll to the bottom of the dedicated page of WhatsApp and you will see a panel titled 'Become a beta tester'. From there, you can use the beta version by first clicking on the 'I'm in' and then 'Join' options.
On the other hand, if you use WhatsApp from a PC or desktop, visit the https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.whatsapp website from any browser (Chrome, Opera, Firefox, etc.). There will be a dialog box and a 'Become a beta tester' button. All you have to do is click on that option or button.

After signing up, if you see the text 'You are a beta tester now' on the screen, you will understand that you have been able to join the beta program. You will then receive updates on the latest versions of WhatsApp.

By the way, users can leave the beta program at any time they want. In the same way, from the smartphone or PC, go to the WhatsApp beta tester panel or page and click on the 'Leave' option. Then you need to uninstall and re-install the WhatsApp application. Before uninstalling the app, make sure you have a WhatsApp chat or backup.

By the way, the latest update is given to the beta users first to check whether there are any bugs or issues in the new update. In other words, if you use the beta version, you can enjoy the features or updates first, but sometimes there may be some problems in the application.
