Chinese smartphone company Oppo has launched their first smart TV series Oppo TV S1 and Oppo TV R1. It has been heard since last year that Oppo will set foot in the smart TV market. The company finally launched these two TVs at a virtual event today. The Oppo TV S1 is a premium TV, available in 65-inch screen size with QLED panel. Oppo TV R1 will be available with 55 inch and 65-inch screen size.
Oppo TV S1 and Oppo TV R1 prices
The Oppo TV S1 is priced at 7,999 yuan, which is about Rs
7,800. The 55-inch model of the Oppo TV R1 is priced at 3,299 yuan, which
is around Rs 36,200. The 75-inch model is priced at 4,299 yuan (about Rs
47,300). For now, these TVs have been launched in China. However, it
is not known when the TVs will be launched in other markets.
Oppo TV S1 Specification, Features
The Oppo TV S1 comes with a 75-inch QLED 4K
display. The pixel resolution of this display is 3640 × 2160. This
display covers 1500 nit’s brightness and 120 percent NTSC colour gamut. Also,
the refresh rate of this display is 120 Hz. It supports MEMC
technology. This TV uses MediaTek MT9950 processor. It also has 6.5
GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. Speaking of software, the TV runs on
the ColorOS TV system.
Speaking of audio, Oppo has joined hands with Dynaudio and
brought 16 speakers. They have 75-watt sound output and 5.1.2
channels. As a result, customers do not have to invest money separately
for speakers when they buy this TV. It has a far field microphone for
Breeno voice assistant and a pop-up camera for video calls. Other features
include HDMI 2.1, WIFI 8 and NFC support on the Oppo TV S1. Again, Oppo
claims that this TV is Blue Light Filter Certified by TÃœV Rheinland. It
supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and 8K video playback.
Oppo TV R1 Specification
As mentioned earlier, the OPPO TV R1 is available in 55-inch
and 65-inch screen sizes. It has LCD panel with backlight. This
display has a screen-to-body ratio of 96%, and contains 93% DCI-P3 colour
gamut. Unlike the S1 model, its display does not support 120 Hz refresh
rate, but special MEMC technology is available. As support for memory,
this TV has 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. It will run on a MediaTek
MTK9652 processor, which is less powerful than the chipset of the S1 model.
Among other features, the OPPO TV R1 will feature 8K video
playback and 1 second boot time support, just like the premium model. For
connectivity, it has options like HDMI 2.1, WIFI 8. There's also a 20-watt
Dolby audio speaker, far-field microphone. In addition, the Certified Blue
Light Filter, Fast Screen Mirroring, ColorOS TV operating system, etc. also
have features in this Oppo TV.
