Google Meet will be available for free until March 31 next year

Source: Internet

It was heard four days ago that Google's popular video conferencing service Google Meet is going to have some restrictions due to which it is not possible to have free video conferencing from Google Meet. That being said, from October, users will be able to have a free meeting for only 60 minutes, or 1 hour. However, Google gave relief to the users by pouring water on this speculation. The tech giant said today that Google Meet users will be able to enjoy the service for free until March next year. What exactly did Google say? Let's find out in detail.

Google Meet is a video calling service that we all know, can be downloaded separately from the Google Meet app or from the Gmail application. There is no cost to use this service, anyone with a Gmail ID or Google Account can use it. As a result, some people choose Google Meet to stay in touch with their friends and loved ones during online classes, office meetings, or friends.

Google announced last April that the Google Meat service could be used for free for the convenience of the general public due to the Corona situation. This facility will be available till 30th September. After the expiration of this period, users can hold a meeting for a maximum of 60 minutes. The pages of the calendar have changed since then, but the epidemic situation is the same as before. So, the speculation started in the last week of September this month, whether Google Meet will continue to offer free services or video conferencing for more than an hour!

But today, on the last day of the month, Google surprised everyone by announcing that users will be able to have free video conferencing for as long as they want with Google Meet until March 31, 2021. The US company has made this decision keeping in mind the current situation and the upcoming holiday season.

In the meantime, Google has added multiple features to the Meet platform. Users, for example, can now cast meet calls on their TV. Background blur (blurry) and digital whiteboard options are provided. In addition, from now on, Google Meet has allowed 49 participants to view together in a grid view. Not only that, just two days ago, the noise cancellation feature was rolled out for the Android and iOS versions of Google Meet.
