Chinese companies under pressure, Reliance Jio to bring cheap Android phones in December: report

It was reported a few days ago that Reliance Industries is working with Google to bring cheap smartphones. A recent report claims that this phone from Reliance Jio will come out in December. The company is trying to bring 100 million low budget phones. All these phones will be built on the Google Android platform.

According to this report by Business Standard, Reliance Jio is coming to India with multiple entry level Android smartphones. These phones will start coming to the market from next December. Last July, Reliance owner Mukesh Ambani announced that Google was designing a special Android operating system for Reliance's low cost "4G or 5G" phones.

Last July, Google invested Rs 4.5 billion (about Rs 33,102 crore) in Reliance's digital unit. Hopefully, Google has invested so much money in bringing cheap Android smartphones with Reliance.

In fact, Reliance has billions of customers in India. And the company wants to take advantage of it. Earlier, the company came up with Jio Phone. Although the Geo phone dropped in popularity at first, it has gradually disappeared from the market due to poor quality. Meanwhile, if Reliance brings new smartphones, Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo and many other foreign companies will be under pressure.
